Features
Main Frame, Machine Bed and Enclosure:
- Extra Heavy 1 piece Cast Iron Main Frame. Specially heat treated for maximum stability and minimum vibration
- 5 inch (.8 meter) long Adjustable Infeed Table and Fence (each adjustable .4”)
- All Bedplates, Tables and Fences are Hard Chromed with approx. .012”-.014” chrome thickness (except 1st bottom receiving plate which is alloy steel specially hardened for best wear ability)
- Lift up sound and safety Enclosure including safety interlocks and anti-strobe lighting inside the enclosure
Drive includes:
- Maintenance free Full Cardan Shaft Drive to feedworks for balanced drive performance,
- with individual worm reduction gear box to each feed roller station
- Powered rise and fall to extra heavy duty feed support beam by 1 hp/.75 kW motor.
- Upper support Beam is supported at both the Infeed and Outfeed ends on 2 large columns for the best, most rigid upper beam support.
- All top feed rolls and pressure elements rise & fall with the top beam.
- Safety switches are included at extreme points
- 13 Top Driven Feed Roll Assemblies (each equipped with Multiple 2” wide rolls that can be quickly spaced/positioned or removed as desired)
- 1st top two feed rolls and bottom rolls are 8” diameter / Heavy Duty Feedworks system
- 6 Driven Bottom Rolls – all full width
- 1 more smooth Midfeed full width idling bed roll
- 1st bottom infeed roll is Serrated & Driven along with 4 other smooth power driven
- bed rolls. All are Cardan Shaft driven.
- Bottom Rolls have quick up down adjustment by quick cam type lift system – certain materials require rolls to be higher and this gives you a quick adjust to do that.
- Centrally located Pneumatic Pressure Gauges & Controls for Top Rolls, Chip Breakers and Roll holdover Assembly opposite rear side head on Exterior Column
- All Top Rolls are Pneumatically Tensioned. There are 3 different pressurized groups to the Top Rolls. Infeed, Midfeed & Outfeed Top Rolls. Each group has a pressure gauge and regulator for varying pressure setting. This really helps for the feeding of different materials with different conditions, smoothly and efficiently.
- Top infeed rolls before first bottom head with pneumatic rise and fall by switch.
- All Infeed Top Rolls are Specially Serrated, Hardened and Satin Chromed to resist wear and prevent chips and shavings from sticking to them
- Polyurethane top feed rolls after top head
- Intermediate Top Driven Feed Roll Station in front of rear side head with pneumatic loading for feeding minimum length work-pieces. It is easily flipped up for rear side head removal. (supplied on machines to 130fpm machine) – otherwise pneumatically loaded idling pressure rolls which are easily adjusted for width of material being run and have quick flip up capability to get them out of the way, are supplied on faster machines.

Chip breakers, Fences and Holdowns/Holdovers:
- Bedplates, Chip Breakers, Pressure Plates and Fences are Hard Chromed with approx. .012” of hard chrome
- 4” (60mm) high fences after fence side head
- Chipbreakers are High Frequency Hardened and then Hard Chromed for long life
- Double Roller Pneumatically loaded side pressure unit opposite fence side head moving with near side head (includes independent pressure control)
- Left Side & Right Head equipped with telescopic bed plate
- Side guide after near side head moving with near side head
- Pneumatic Top Head Chipbreaker assemblies before heads equipped with twin air cylinders for pneumatic loading (includes independent pressure control)
- Sectional Chip Breakers before Top Heads easily adjustable with vertical screw adjustment and position readouts & Top Head Chip Breaker Plates are Hard Chromed & Grooved for Safety Purposes easily & quickly adjustable
- Quick adjust Chromed Pad pressure (Pressure Plates) after top heads with vertical screw adjustment and digital position readouts
- Outfeed bed plate is easily shimmed to compensate for bottom head cut
Miscellaneous:
- Automatic bed Lubrication system with timer control
- Centralized Grease Lubrication System with color coded (ie. frequency to grease) grease nipples to all main slides & grease points from front of the machine locations.

- Machines are equipped with Wye-Delta Soft-Start Starters, main disconnect, multiple E Stops and 575/3/60 electrics. Machine can be easily and inexpensively transformed to other voltages on request.
Spindle Assemblies and Cutterheads
- ALL Spindles come 7200 RPM and are belt driven, the universal spindle has a VFD allowing RPM to vary from aprozimately 3500-7200 RPM.
- HD Flat Belt Drives on All heads except the 2 tops heads and Last Bottom head what we have HD Timing Belt (Poly Chain Drives)
- Note: machine has 40 mm diameter spindles
- Spindles are manufactured from SCM-439 tool steel (Imported from Mitsubishi-Japan) with special heat treating to HR 55C Hardness fitted with 2 pairs of NSK-RHP ABEC 7 Duplex Super high precision high speed Bearings to provide the best in cutting stability with permanent accuracy. Spindle Tolerance is guaranteed to +/-0.002mm / 0.00007” accuracy. They are permanent grease lubricated and are labyrinth sealed to prevent against dust and water.
- Machine comes with REC digital controller for programming positioning, with motor for the near side and 1st and 2nd top heads.
- Vertical Spindle – Axial (Vertical) Adjustment – 3.2”
- Horizontal Spindle – Axial (Horizontal) Adjustment – 1.6”
- Independent manual vertical adjustment to top head, top chip breaker and pressure plate.
- All Spindle Axis(Vertical & Horizontal) throughout the Moulder that don’t have Setworks have Digital Position Readouts for Radial & Axial (vertical & horizontal), fast and accurate setting (except 1st Bottom Axial).

Options Included
- Easyset Setworks Includes a Schneider 5.7” HMI Touch Screen Control, and motorized adjustment of the near side(s) and top heads and top feed beam. Complete with memory for 200 profiles
- Variable Frequency drives installed on Universal spindle these allow the RPM of the spindles to be adjusted from approximately 3500 to 7200 RPM, these also act as an electronic braking system for safety and quick change over purposes, c/w potentiometers for easy adjustment
- Heavy Duty 2/2 – large to and bottom first feed rolls for heavy duty feeding with 8” diameter top rolls for first 2 positions for better feeding of challenging material
- Baldor Electronic braking system for all spindles with cooling fan and thermostat
